Manish Taneja
Co-Founder & CEO
Manish is a finance and tech enthusiast and has worked for global leaders such as Avendus Capital and Lehman Brothers. He got a Level 3 - CFA certification from the Indian CFA institution and has a strong entrepreneurial spirit. In 2012, he launched Purplle.com - a brand that makes international beauty and wellness products easily accessible. Manish is a full-time leader, who also plays the role of a friend and a guide at India’s largest beauty destination and is the living definition of ‘winning at life.’
Rahul Dash
Co-Founder & COO
Rahul Dash built one of the largest vertical commerce businesses with a strong technology backbone in the country with Purplle.com. The technology stack created runs in a global first from India owing to its depth within the beauty and personal care industry. Under Rahul’s leadership, Purplle has an enviable portfolio of 5 direct to consumer brands and is one of the few companies in India with 2 direct to consumer brands above 100 Cr of annual revenue and a few more on the leader board for FY23. With Rahul at the helm, Purplle has over INR 1400 Cr of annualized GMV and is India’s newest unicorn in the beauty e-commerce ecosystem. As COO, Rahul has been instrumental in growing the organization over the years, not just financially but also in employee strength. Today Purplle has 2400 direct and indirect employees. Rahul has also been instrumental in building investor relations for Purplle, resulting in a strong cap table with some of the top investors in the country. Rahul holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a PGDM from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. Before Purplle.com, Rahul held multiple positions at The Tata Group, including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, and Tata Motors.
