Celcius is a cold-chain marketplace startup and the only aggregator platform in India, which offers proprietary state-of-the-art Technology and operational solutions for Reefer logistics and cold storage warehousing. Celcius’ simple yet unique solution can be credited to its inception as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Considering the sustained demand for contactless deliveries of essentials and anticipating the need for a robust and seamless cold chain to aid the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine, the founders of Celcius came together to create India’s first digital marketplace for the cold supply chain.

Celcius’ technology-driven approach ensures accountability from the booking to the delivery of the shipment. The Web and App-based platform verifies shippers and transporters before listing them and centralizes the bookings. Since its inception, Celcius Logistics has grown to 4500+ vehicles, 107 cold storages, 7 Distribution centers, and 100+ Hyperlocal riders.

Swarup holds a Master’s degree in Computer Application and combined with his 16+ years of experience in the logistics and supply chain sector, aims to bridge the systemic gaps and address challenges that have been plaguing the industry, through effective tech adoption to create a seamless, unbroken cold supply chain network. He envisions Celcius as the nation’s biggest network of cold chain vehicles and warehouses that can cater to the smallest businesses in the remotest cities. His efforts have been recognized by several leading media and industry platforms and finds mention as ‘ET aspiring Indian’ for Innovation in Technology Logistics supply chain, and Economic Times Promising Entrepreneurs of India 2021, among others.

Arbind holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a specialization in Computer Engineering from Jain University, Bangalore and brings with him over 8 years of experience in the IT and emerging tech field. He is an expert in CSS, php, ajax, Ubuntu, SQL, Laravel, HTML, JAVA softwares and has been instrumental in shaping the proprietary tech solutions developed at Celcius. He has also been spearheading the digitization and tech adoption through effective software development and integration. Prior to Celcius, he was also the co-founder of Enbolt Labs.

Rajneesh holds a Master’s in Business Administration, with a specialization in Finance & Marketing. He brings with him, over 15 Years of experience in seamless operations and execution. He is also an expert in digital marketing with wide experience in startups. His journey includes memorable roles with respected brands like Pagalguy, Career 360, Times Of India, in admin and marketing roles. It allows for discovering and booking various sizes of refrigerated vehicles across India. The app also allows real-time tracking, tracing, data analytics, downloading reports, and making payments. It completely transforms the traditional system of booking such vehicles via broker and agents, and bring transparency and efficiency into the system.

Smart last mile delivery platform

It has partnered with vehicle owners and automotive manufacturers to create a robust on-ground network of reefer vehicles, which will be integrated with the smart platform that has been created with a unique Inventory Management System (IMS).

Hyper-Local temperature-controlled delivery services

As part of its last mile solution, it offers temperature-controlled deliveries (for food and pharma orders), across various cities, for quantities as small as 500 gms to 500 kg, delivered anywhere in the country, within a maximum of 18 hours.

Cold chain solutions provider Celcius Logistics has raised Rs 100 crore in a funding round led by IvyCap Ventures, the company said on Monday. The startup had earlier raised Rs 35 crore from existing investors Mumbai Angels, Supply Chain Labs, Endurance Capital, VCats, Huddle, Eaglewings Ventures (EVAN), and others.
